coming to life.

Finally, spring is here! It feels vital.

(Vital meaning necessary;
     vital meaning
alive.)

Yesterday, I went for a short walk. The air was mild, and every now and then, the clouds burst and rain fell onto the warm and waiting earth. After each shower, the whole world seemed to thrum with life: colours, smells, sounds, all fading in, gradually increasing in intensity.  Saturated.

(Saturated meaning soaked-through;
     saturated meaning
charged, weighted.)

Everything was coming to life, unfolding up and out with such a simple generosity.

I thought about histories; about unverbal languages; about the ways in which time imprints itself upon the world...

... and the ways in which we humans do that, too.

There's something sacred here. Vital, saturated, generous, holy.
